About Us

Partnering with people and ministries to promote Ignatian spirituality for mission.
About Us

The Office of Ignatian Spirituality (OIS) is an office of the Maryland and USA Northeast Provinces of the Society of Jesus committed to partnering with people and ministries to promote Ignaitan spirituality for mission.

Our ministry operates from Maine to Georgia offering opportunities to experience the graces of the Spiritual Exercises, to gather Ignatian spiritual directors and practitioners, and to bring together seekers looking to find God through the wisdom of St. Ignatius Loyola. We seek to meet the needs of those in the Ignatian community and beyond by

  • offering programs to those traditionally underserved - including young adults and Latinos
  • connecting Jesuits, lay collaborators, and seekers in the ministry of the Spiritual Exercises
Since reorganizing as the Office of Ignatian Spirituality (formerly The Jesuit Collaborative), we have expanded our reach and mustered the resources of the two East Coast Jesuit provinces to reach more people in more places. We are collaborating closely with the Jesuit retreat houses within the two provinces, and working with other established Ignatian ministries to provide more opportunities and greater resources to the people we serve.
